How to use Bug & Tar Remover

Avoid leaving the active product on the vehicle in direct sunlight.

2 Bucket Method:

Add 2 oz. of Bug & Tar Remover to any wash bucket and use the 2-bucket method to wash your vehicle, removing bugs and tar in the process. Rinse using clean water.

Spray Bottle: 

Dilute Bug & Tar Remover at a ratio of 6:1 using a spray bottle. Spray directly on the surface, and wipe bugs and tar away using a premium microfiber towel. Rinse using clean water. 

As an Additive:

Add 2 oz. of Bug & Tar Remover to a wash bucket containing any other soap of choice to get a boost of bug and tar removal in your normal wash process. Wash and rinse normally.

    The product is not effective, as most part of the brand's products

    Incentives by the high performance of other products, I decided to try the Bug & Tar Remover, but it is ineffective. The application of other products to remover tar is more effective. Regarding the bug marks, the product is not effective either, I still prefer to use what I have being using for year...

    First Chemical Guys product I was disappointed with.

    Bug Remover

    Product worked good but had to spray multiple times for the bugs to be totally removed. Videos make it appear just one good use and bugs are gone. I didn't find that to be the case.

    Very impressed with this Bug & Tar Remover!!!

    This stuff worked very well, along with following Chemical Guys Video, and Directions. I may have increased the ratio, a bit. Back Story: We went on a Road Trip (2,000+ Miles) over 1 week, during Bug and Pitch Season. Vehicle: 2025 Ford F350 Crew Cab Dually 4X4, Carbonized Gray, with a ReTrax Bed Cover. Truck was covered in bugs (Not a big deal), but we had parked under some trees......and most of the truck was covered in "Pitch" (Sap Spray), and Sap, at the beginning of our trip. Both Dually Fenders, Tail Gate, Windows, Roof, Doors, Hood, pretty much everywhere! It all sat on the truck, for well over a week, in 90-100 degree temps. So, I had my doubts about any consumer based products. This Bug & Tar Remover worked amazing, with the "Wheel Wedge". I followed the Chemical Guys Video, and Directions. It ALL came off with minimal effort. I was amazed! Did not expect that kind of result. The truck came out smooth. That said, I have always washed the truck with the Citrus Wash & Gloss. I ALWAYS follow-up the wash with the Hydro Shield Ceramic Detailer. That may have also contributed to the success of the product. When in doubt, watch the Chemical Guys Videos. It takes the worry & anxiety out of any project. I use a lot of Chemical Guys Products. They have always worked well. This last experience just validated why I use their products......THEY WORK!

    After washing a few cars, i noticed that i had to get the bug and tar remover to tackle that issue specifically. Once this product arrived, i was very excited to try it out. After using it a couple of of times, i still have bug and tar on the front bumper and grill. Im willing to update my review if there is some trick to getting this stuff to work as intended, but as of right now, i feel let down.
