We have options for different protection goals and application preferences. Here is what each delivers based on verified product specs.
HydroSlick Ceramic Coating Hyperwax
HydroSlick is our SiO2-infused ceramic coating in a gel formula that applies like a traditional wax. It provides up to one year of UV protection, intense hydrophobic water beading, and deep gloss, making it the right ceramic coat brand-new vehicle option for drivers who want ceramic-grade protection without the precision demands of a professional liquid coating. Apply 4 to 5 dots onto a microfiber applicator pad, spread a thin, even coat on a cool, clean, dry surface out of direct sunlight, one panel at a time, allow 1 to 2 minutes of dwell time, then buff off with a clean microfiber towel. Keep the vehicle out of the elements for 2 to 3 hours after application. Our Car Paint Protection collection includes HydroSlick, along with the full range of protection options for a complete new-car protection system.
Carbon Force Ceramic Protective Paint Coating System
Carbon Force is our longest-lasting ceramic coating, rated for up to 5 years of protection on paintwork, glass, metal, stainless steel, and aluminum. For new car owners who want a coating that works through seasons and years of driving without reapplication, Carbon Force delivers the most durable bond in our lineup using ceramic nanotechnology, anti-scratch technology, and a glassy-smooth surface finish. Apply by washing, decontaminating, and clay-barring the surface first, then apply Carbon Force in straight-line passes, allow 30 seconds to 1 minute of dwell time, and remove with a premium microfiber cloth. It can be layered, with each additional coat strengthening the bond. Our How to Apply Ceramic Coating guide walks through the full application process in detail.
Prepping New Car Paint Before Ceramic Coating
New paint is the cleanest surface you will have, but proper preparation before the coating goes on is non-negotiable. Knowing how soon to ceramic coat new car paint is only half the answer; the prep work done before application determines whether the coating bonds properly and lasts its full rated period.
Decontaminate Even On Fresh Paint
New cars carry transport fallout, dealership product residue, and industrial airborne particles embedded in the clearcoat that are invisible to the naked eye. A thorough wash with paint-safe soap followed by a clay bar treatment removes this bonded contamination. Coating over it traps particles under the protective layer and compromises bond strength from the moment of application.
Strip Existing Dealer Products First
Many dealers apply wax, sealant, or paint sealant packages as part of a pre-delivery inspection. These need to be removed with a dedicated stripping wash before any ceramic coating goes on. Layering SiO2 over existing wax or sealant prevents it from bonding directly to the clearcoat, significantly reducing the coating's effective lifespan below its rated protection period.
Apply In A Shaded, Controlled Environment
Ceramic coating applied in direct sunlight or on hot panels cures unevenly, leaving high spots that are difficult to remove once set. Work in a garage or shaded area at 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit, and apply one panel at a time to maintain control over dwell time.
