Digital Marketing Manager

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for architecting and executing Chemical Guys’ digital marketing strategy;they are a collaborative, hands-on, self-starter with extensive experience in the Direct-Response Digital Marketing space (Email, Search, Social, Display) to drive traffic, improve brand awareness and increase customer acquisition and retention. This role requires extensive knowledge in web analytics and will be responsible for setting up the department’s attribution, metrics & reporting processes in conjunction with the Sr. Director of eCommerce, to whom they will report. In addition, this role will contribute to our marketing function’s customer segmentation and personalization efforts, as well as with a range of 3rd party vendor platforms.

 

Responsibilities

  • Help formulate strategic direction for all digital marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with the product development, media and creative teams to align marketing plans and execute campaigns.
  • Identify acquisition and retention-focused opportunities and drive digital marketing campaigns to grow Chemical Guys’ bottom line
  • Manage a range of Paid Search, Email, Social & Display marketing channels, DOE
  • Work cross-functionally to lead and execute digital campaigns supporting new products, store launches, and industry events.
  • Partner to create our content strategy and provide data-influenced insights to shape our content creation roadmap
  • Build, develop and grow business relationships across the organization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university (Accounting/Finance, Information Technology or Business Administration preferred); or 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a strong combination of leadership, technical/analytical and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Digital Media channels.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of search, social and display advertising platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Ads, etc.
  • Prior direct responsibility for substantial marketing budgets
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability, ability to prioritize and focus on most critical tasks, intellectual curiosity and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and data visualization skills

Merchandising Manager/Content Administrator

The Merchandising Manager/Content Administrator is responsible for all site merchandising & content display at chemicalguys.com. This role will be an integral part of our fast-growing eCommerce team, and will report to the Sr. Director of eCommerce. This role requires a deep understanding of how customers make purchase considerations, and how site visitors will interact with content at various stages. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industry where education helps make the sale (such as electronics, industrial supply, automotive, etc) and be a self-starter willing to build a new process and grow with the team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for merchandising direction and placement of products featured on home, landing, and catalog pages; as well as categorizing products within navigation structure.
  • Learns and understands the positioning and purpose of each product, in each category
  • Partners with the eCommerce team on opportunities to promote products, creative ideas driving high impact campaigns, and surfacing intelligence to inform good decision making around assortment.
  • Maintains website content calendar for all product categories focused on new launches, inventory availability and marketing initiatives.
  • Plans and executes curated category landing pages to support editorial features and highlights to reinforce the brand's relevance and lifestyle point of view.
  • Ensures overall on-line product presentation, including photography, copy content and other pertinent information is cohesive with brand's overall merchandising strategy.
  • Partners with products teams to identify key products and opportunities for product growth.
  • Executes the cross-sell and up-sell strategy for each item that is displayed on the web site to generate additional sales.
  • Analyze and inform strategy driving assortment across site, marketplace and brick and mortar sales.
  • Leverages web analytics to understand performance of and customer interaction with site content, such as categories, featured placements (including promotions/sales) and general online shopping experiences to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities in the assortment for growth/decline by category based on market trends, competitive landscape, and historical performance. Works closely with internal teams to identify new product opportunities.
  • Assesses the competitive landscape by examining merchandising strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers to understand emerging online trends and recommend changes to the online category strategy based on customer and competitor insights; brand strategies; analysis of KPIs (e.g., sales, conversion, in-stock levels, and assortment alignment) and category or product-specific promotions.
  • Continually seeks to improve the online experience by researching and staying abreast of new and innovative online solutions and capabilities; key competitor actions; industry trends and emerging customer and market needs.

Job Requirements

3-5 years eCommerce merchandising experience with consumer products is required.

  • Consumer focused, highly analytical and inquisitive by nature
  • Business or other quantitative degree preferred
  • Basic command of HTML (for content block production), or the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong presenter & communicator, and collaborative

eCommerce Specialist

The eCommerce Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Chemical Guys eCommerce excellence through content curation, coordination of marketing campaign activities and support of internal teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Improve web experience by ensuring web and catalog data is accurate, effective and available.
  • Collaborate with the product, media, marketplace, brick and mortar, and store teams to produce & place relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
  • Assist in developing our voice, and contribute to the creation of marketing assets including articles, blog posts, landing pages, playbooks, whitepapers, videos, presentations, and other thought leadership materials
  • Be the primary owner of video, product and copy content, and work wth management to develop strategies for effective organization that will be useful for our customers.

Job Requirements

No experience required, however knowledge of the car industry and some experience with or willingness to learn very basic HTML is preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong writing abilities for blogs, articles, landing page
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Some experience with Photoshop is a plus, or some experience with any kind of image manipulation
  • Clearly communicate while in a fast paced environment
  • Can work in a team environment and assist with other projects and marketing related duties

Junior Analyst

The Junior Analysts will provide various support functions that are primarily creative analytical projects including design of custom reports. The duties includes heavy emphasis on Excel generating weekly, monthly, quarterly reports. The Junior Analyst will spend 90% of day working with data in Excel (Analytical) - the ideal and successful candidate should enjoy this type of work, the reminder of time will be conducting administrative tasks to help support the team.

  • Compile and format data from multiple sources and systems to create reports

  • Intermediate/Advanced MS Word, Access & Power Point skills
  • Ability to communicate to individuals at all levels of the organization including entry-level staff to Senior Executives
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines

Customer Service Specialist

The ideal person will possess outstanding written / verbal skills and exceptional phone / email etiquette to ensure our customers receive top-notch service. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, handle a high volume of emails and phone calls, while simultaneously process new orders via our Online System, provide product knowledge, up-sell, review customers orders and provide updates on delivery / tracking. In addition, a strong work ethic and a willingness to be a team player are musts!
