How to Apply Fabric Guard
What’s better than getting rid of those old stains and restoring your carpet, fabric, and upholstery? Preventing them in the first place! It’s easier than you think: Fabric Guard uses hydrophobic technology to repel water and liquids on carpet, upholstery, seats, door panels, and other fabric surfaces so any liquid spilled will simply roll off without touching the underlying fibers!
Step 1
Prepare Surface. In order for Fabric Guard to create a surface barrier, the surface needs to be clean, so let’s vacuum the surface and then use a cleaner such as Fabric Clean to pull out those old stains. Once the surface is clean and dry, proceed to the next step.
Step 2
Cover up any interior plastics, seat controls, exterior moldings, etc. to avoid overspray.
Step 3
Shake well and spray evenly over the entire surface and a little extra on seams. Do not saturate material – less is more.
Step 4
Apply a second coat for maximum protection. Allow drying 20 minutes between coats in the sun. You can use artificial heat to speed the drying time if desired. Done! It’s that easy. Making Fabric Guard a part of your routine detail takes only an extra 20 seconds, but makes messy spills that stain a thing of the past.
Fabric Guard doesn’t just protect against spills, it also protects against fading and discoloration be blocking harmful UV solar rays. Protecting your fabrics not only keeps them cleaner for longer, it also ensures they last their longest! Once treated, Fabric Guard protects your fabric for up to 12 months.
