This years at the annual PAACE Automechanika show in Mexico the Chemical Guys detailing team was under high demand.  Owner of World Wide Parts Manufacturer Tebo, came to the Chemical Guys Booth and requested that our team take a look at his "Pride & Joy" a beautiful Red Convertible Red Oldsmobile.  One of his personal favorites in his collection of cars this classis Olds needed some Chemical Guys TLC. 

With over 10,000 people attending the show daily  Tebo made it a point that we give Big Red the best level of shine possible.  the team started by cleaning the surface with ONE waterless followed by a a quick clay bar (blue) and a cot of Vertua-Bond Surface Prep.  Taking the car to the next level in shine while protecting it form the thousands of hands that were soon to touch it meant 2 coats of Jetseal and a final 2 coats of Petes 53'.  The sight of the shine was remarkable , almost as great as seeing the smile on everyone at Tebo's booth when the vehicle was done.  The Big Red beauty gave wind to the creation of an easy to use compete kit that would have all the components necessary to take your pride and joy to the next lever. t

How Pete's 53' Premium Concourse Paste Wax came to be.  Pete’s 53’ .  We’re  not sure how many Professional Detailers and Southern Californian’s are aware of  Pete’s Wax Works in Norco, California, but anyone who is surely knew owner Pete Martinez. For those of you that were fortunate enough to meet or talk to him on the phone can agree with us that,  words cannot explain what an incredible person Pete was.  Pete brought to the Inland Empire a Chemical Guys shop that was open daily  to car enthusiast, detailers, friends and anyone else who wanted to experience detailing at its finest.  Pete brought his 20 years of premium paint blending, design, and finishing combined with his love for cars and motorcycles into a venue where he could share and teach auto lovers about the art of detailing.  Pete’s Wax Works has educated, bread and helped out hundreds of detailers, enthusiastic, car lovers, bikers, collectors and more importantly friends in understanding paint care, the detailing industry and proper use of the complete line of Chemical Guys Products.

Pete was not only the ultimate source for detailing knowledge but more important a true friend, a man with a heart of gold and an amazing personality that could bring shine to every day and every surface. From cars to bikes,  Pete took his love for the auto, his 20+ years of experience in paint blending and his professional expertise in auto detailing to the next level educating people on his 53’ years of professional experiences in the paint industry.

Pete stands for everything that one would look for in a teacher and a friend, he stands for detailing excellence,  the love for the auto / motorcycle and for everyone here at Chemical Guys Pete was and always will be a part of our family 

Pete passed away on February 13, 2007, at the age of 53, but for everyone who knew him, learned from him, or shared a laugh along with him, he will live on forever.  Pete’s Wax Works in Norco is open to everyone with a love for detailing,  Pete’s Family and knowledgeable employees keep Pete’s dream alive by keeping the store fully stocked with Chemical Guys Products and Accessories open 6 days a week, a cool local hang out and the playgrounds for many car collectors, bikers, professional detailers  and enthusiasts.  (Pictures on the right are from "Remember Pete", an amazing gathering of friends, family, clients, and customers who gathered in remembrance of Pete Martinez, an amazing guy)

We wish that 53’ could have been formulated while Pete was alive so that he himself could enjoy its beautiful wet liquid shimmer, on one of the many Wax Works Motorcycle Rides Pete and his wife went on weekly after leaving Wax works.

Directions:

1. Wash and thoroughly dry your auto or motorcycle first.
2. Use the included dura-foam applicator to spread a thin layer of Pete’s 53’ over the painted portions of your auto or motorcycle.
3. Pete’s 53 will not dry to a haze. You can buff it off immediately with a soft, clean microfiber towel..
4. If shine begins to dull due to dust or everyday use, restore shine with it with Pro Detailer or Extreme Synthetic Detail Spray.
5. This easy-on very easy-off wax can be applied as an additional layer of protection over your existing layer of Pete’s 53’.
