What is a Sealant and How Do I Apply One?
What Is A Sealant?
Extreme weather and temperatures rapidly break down natural waxes, and leave cars unprotected against the elements that dull shine. JetSeal is a manmade synthetic wax that takes paint protection to the next level. JetSeal bonds directly to the surface, creating a strong shield against water spots, contamination, road grime, and UV sunlight. Innovative UV protection technology helps reject harmful solar rays and protect paintwork against fading and discoloration.
How Do I Apply It?
There’s two options. You can apply your sealant by either hand or machine. Applying with a machine is a great choice because not only is it faster, it allows for an even application of the product. Applying by hand could results in uneven application.
What You'll Need
15 – 25 minutes
Clean and Decontaminated Surface
What else this works on
- Tail Lights
- Glossy Wheels
Prep The Surface
You wouldn't go play in the mud after taking a shower, so why would you apply a coating without prepping the surface first? Perform a full wash, clay, and polish before sealing your ride!
Apply to pad
Dab 4 dime sized drops on your black or red Hex Logic pad. Red and Black Hex Logic Pads are super soft and don't have any cut. Only use a DA polisher. Never use a Rotary!
Do the dab
Dab the product onto the surface of your vehicle. Work in area about 2'x2'.
Turn me on
Turn the machine on while on the paint to the first speed setting, or speed setting 15. Turning the machine on while on the paint prevents product fling, so your work area never gets as messy as your room.
Spread sealant onto the surface using up and down motions, then side to side to ensure even coverage.
Let cure for 20 minutes. Feel free to use this time to clean up shop, catch up on the latest Nooners with Nick episode, or take short cat nap.
Buff, buff, buff it off
Using a premium microfiber towel, buff to perfect shine! Your ride is now protected!
Don't forget the little stuff
Use a premium microfiber applicator to hand seal those hard to reach areas such as your rear view mirrors and headlights!
