More about our Degreasers

Clean up the toughest auto grease once and for all. Use our degreasing sprays to remove stubborn grime and grease from everything from tires and wheels to carpets and the floor of your garage.

Use Chemical Guys’ degreasers on contaminants like sticky grease, oil stains, hydraulic fluid, diesel fuel, or motor oil. When other cleaners won’t cut through the greasy nature of the mess, these are your best bet.

Our degreasers can be diluted to different strengths depending on the surface you’re treating. Use a more potent strength on your engine, undercarriage, wheels, tools, suspension components, and tires. Then dilute the formula more to tackle greasy areas on plastic, vinyl, carpets, garage flooring, and more.

Dilution Tips for Degreasers

Our degreasing formulas are sold in a concentrated state, in 16-oz or 1-gallon containers. To dilute, use:

  • 6 parts water to 1 part degreaser for extreme cleaning (this is the minimum)
  • 10-15 parts water to 1 part degreaser for medium cleaning
  • 25-40 parts water to 1 part degreaser for lighter messes

See our dilution chart to see exactly how many ounces to pour of each liquid.

How to use a Degreaser on your Wheels & Other Surfaces

Dilute the degreasing product to the desired strength based on the above tips. Use a dilution bottle as your secondary container for doing the mixing. Then spray the product on tough spots and allow it to soak for a minute or more. Scrub the surface with a medium-duty brush if needed and then rinse thoroughly with a clean stream of water.
