About The Blue Ultra Light Finishing Pad
The Blue Ultra Light Finishing Pad has an ultra soft composition for applying refined paste waxes, and cream sealants and glazes. Use this 6.5” pad on your favorite DA machine polisher and 6” backing plate to wax the most sensitive paintwork, carbon fiber, or plastic on any extra large flat panel, windshield, or window on your car. This flat pad provides full contact with paint surface to minimize the pressure applied by the user for a scratch and swirl-free finish as you spread your favorite finishing wax.
What Are Lake Country CCS Pads?
After years of research and development, Lake Country has revolutionized the polishing pad industry with their Collapsed Cell Structure (CCS) Technology. CCS pads combine different foam structures in each pad to create user-friendly polishing tools that are easy to control, waste less product, and produce cleaner reflections and finer results. CCS Pads use areas of Closed Cell Structures that act like polish reservoirs. These closed cells collect and hold polish outside of the body of the pad, and continue to spread it over the surface as you polish. This ensures a steady supply of fresh polishing abrasives as you polish to produce even results and pure reflection in the painted finish. CCS foam pads help reduce product waste by slowing the rate of product absorption into the pad. Conventional foam pads quickly absorb polish into the open-cell foam, reducing work time and produces sub-standard polishing results. A buildup of chemicals inside the foam can also cause the pad to dry out more rapidly, and cause extra marring with the dry and crusty abrasives and residues. CCS Pads keep polish fresh, and working for you to produce better polishing results.
Collapsed Cell Structure
The face of a CCS pad is covered in strategically-placed pockets where the porous foam cells have been closed. Polish and other products do not absorb into these closed-cell pockets, leaving more fresh product on the pad's surface to work over the paint. This product-saving design gives chemicals a longer working time to abrade the paint evenly, and produce a better polished finish. CCS foam pads work on all types of modern automobile paint, from conventional single-stage paint finishes, to clear coats, and even harder ceramic scratch-resistant clear coats. Lake Country's range of foam compositions, combined with the right polishing compounds and machine polishers, provide you with the prescription to correct almost any paint imperfection on any finish. Remove swirls, scratches, faded oxidation, and minor defects to restore a crystal-clear, brilliant, and beautiful shine to any glossy paint finish with Lake Country CCS Pads.
