The faculty at SDU helped me understand the importance of understanding my business cost of doing business. In one single day I learned more about growing my business than I had learned in 7 years of business. On day while training in the detailing arena something happened to me that I haven't experienced since I was in my teens, I started to learn again. I kept learning with more interest determined that it could be done and I would create a hybrid system based on what the instructors were telling me and what I had been doing and hoped that the hybrid would evolve into what it should have been all along. I learned many extremely helpful systems to generate new business while minimizing my time and maximizing my profits. After all, that is the whole idea of being in business right? The thing that happened though that took me back to my youth though was this, learning these new lessons combined with actually visualizing their implementations as well as interaction with the instructors, I grew in knowledge and in ability.
I learned more in one week than I had in seven years of being in the business.

 The first day marketing and business growth seminar provided me with many hints and tricks my business needed to excel. I have a better understanding of the keys to success during our coming implementation and how to avoid the difficulties often encountered during implementations.
 
 Attending this class also gave me the opportunity to network with real detailing professionals. Having the opportunity to work head to head detailing experts and owners of detailing business with more than 7 locations greatly helped me understand how big my business could be.
 The hands on 4 day training in a real shop was exciting but what I enjoyed most about the class were the powwows between the students and the faculty. This allowed me to discuss challenges we are facing and procedures we are considering and learn from the experience of others. This valuable, yet informal, "training opportunity" allows us to benefit from others' successes and save time, as well as money."
